Upcoming Changes
X (formerly Twitter) is deprecating its v1.1 APIs. Therefore, as of June 24, 2024, we will no longer be able to support the following features for use with X and will be removing them from our solutions until further notice:
- Feedback Surveys
Note: Coming soon, you will be able to configure Twitter surveys via self-service for NPS/CSAT Customer Feedback.
- Structured Messages
- Custom Profiles
These changes will affect Care customers using these APIs. To learn more about these changes and our recommendations, refer to Twitter / X v.1 API Update and FAQ.
New Features
X (formerly Twitter) updates
- Care now ingests tweets with more than 280 characters without truncating them.
Note: Agents cannot respond in Care with tweets greater than 280 characters.
- Care now supports all 3 verified checkmark icons available on X:
- Blue checkmark: The account is subscribed to X Premium and meets other eligibility requirements.
- Gold checkmark: The account is a Verified Organization.
- Gray checkmark: The account is owned by a government organization or official.
These checkmarks are displayed on the Author Panel beside the username. Learn more about profile labels on X, the X (formerly Twitter) integration with Care, and working with X (formerly) Twitter conversations in our Atlas documentation.
CRM Connector updates
- You can now use dependent fields from Salesforce in Care. For instance, if you have two fields, Country and State, and the State field should display values based on the selection of Country for the Controlling Field, you can set State as the Dependent Field in Salesforce.
- To improve the user experience, cases in the Author Panel are now sorted in descending order.
- Google has announced it will begin phasing out support for third-party cookies in Chrome. To prepare for this, we have adjusted how we handle iframes so there will be no disruption to their functioning.
You Found It. We Fixed It.
- Previously, due to rate limits, ingestions of posts in Google My Business conversations were delayed. This issue has been resolved.
