Serving up the Ask an Expert widget from secure site

We want to serve up the the 'Ask an Expert' widget from a page which is served via HTTPS on our site.

 

Does this require us to install the SSL certificate on the Lithium side for https://forum.<domain>.com? Or are there other options?
