Turn off ability to delete a private message

Is there a way to turn off user's ability to delete private messages in Community? Moderators need to be able to see user's PMs for abuse reports, but if they were deleted it looks like we'd have to ...

    Lindsey , there is no way to turn off a user's ability to delete private messages.

 Nice. Yeah not ideal, a permission really should be available for this.
