Closing threads once solved and adding a "me too" button

Hey folks,

Hope you're all having a great day!  As many of you probably experience as well, we have a tremendous amount of users who read posts and decide to post a "yeah, that happens to me too..." comment.  Great for the participation, but we're looking to actually begin closing threads that are solved, and not allow additional comments in order to cut down on the amount of "yeah, that happens to me too's."  We'd like to add a "me too" button so users can click that, rather than comment.

Does Lithium offer this button/feature?  I know I've seen it on many communities, but don't recall if they were Lithium hosted or another platform (maybe Jive??)

Thank all,

Eric

Hi Eric (@estieg)

The platform does have Me Too functionality.

You can find info here - https://community.lithium.com/t5/Kudos-and-other-ratings-systems/About-5-star-Helpfulness-and-Me-Too...

A lot of support communities find the feature helpful to assess the extent of an issue.

Hi Eric.

We actually had the same use case and decided to pilot locking solved topics.
The only issue was that there is no notification to mods/cm's when a topic is marked as solved.

So, our amazing developer build a page that shows topics that were recently marked as solved. This allows us to go in and review the topic before locking it. Our dev did something else to simplify the work...and showed us if there was any activity happening to the topic after it received a click on "accepted solution"

This tool enables the process and I believe there is a way to automate it too.

I posted the whole story in the Lithium Stars lounge but will republish it in a public place so everyone can read it and hopefully use it.

Hope this is helpful.
