Our current community is set up so that users cannot comment on Knowledge Based Articles. However, we're noticing that several users are able to do it. How do we remove the ability to comment beyond going to Admin > Users > Permissions > Deny for that role?

You can disable comments by going to the TKB Admin > Discussions Styles > TKB settings page. Test this to see if the users can still comment with the role that is causing issues.
Otherwise, if you need these users to comment on some TKB areas and not others, you'll need to recreate the role at the TKB level and deny the permissions there.
