1. Describe your company and your organization.
Hikma’s purpose is to put better health, within reach, every day through providing affordable, quality medicines to the people that need them. Everything we do is defined by quality and we combine our global expertise with our strong local presence to ensure that everything is delivered with consistency to the communities that we serve across Europe, MENA and the US.
2. Why did you choose to invest in Khoros?
Following years of growth, we launched a new global master brand identity and vision to build consistency and drive impact. We needed a social media presence that would showcase our new brand platform of “Better health within reach every day” in a way that would stand out to our stakeholders.
Previously our social media presence had been weak due to infrequent publishing activity and inconsistent messaging, limiting our brand strength and ability to build a strong reputation as a global company. Our social media goals were to deliver consistent, high quality posts reflective of our global brand and meaningfully attract and engage with the right audience for our brand.
Initially, we chose to invest in Khoros to help establish a strong governance system on our newly formed team to enhance the quality and consistency of our messages. Operating within a highly regulated environment, it was essential to ensure our social media posts also had necessary legal, regulatory and medical approvals as well as content validation from the brand team.
We also chose Khoros for the ability to seamlessly manage and track content performance across all our social channels, enabling us to reach new audiences and, for the first time, create drive value to the business through social. As a scalable world-class platform, Khoros would allow us to unify processes across a small but growing communication team with its distributed planning and governance capabilities.
3. How does Khoros help you deliver results beyond what a team your size normally can do?
As a recently formed Communications department, we are a relatively small team with many responsibilities and little time.
. Khoros has enabled us to streamline and facilitate the content creation, planning and approval process. It has made it easier for us to manage our social content calendar and to interact with approval teams across the business. With not many hands on deck, the Khoros team have support us with trainings, insights and product updates to meet our business needs. The Khoros platform has empowered us with the ability to easily communicate the impact of social conversions to business stakeholders through the measurement of campaign performance.
Since we adopted Khoros, we’ve achieved significant results. We surpassed our initial goal of creating planned, high quality, consistent and engaging social media content. Our brand message of ‘Better Health Within Reach’ has been brought to life with a social presence that clearly supports this new chapter for our business. We have more than doubled the number of followers on all our social media channels (a growth from 116K to 233K followers). Average post engagement increased by 55% since the launch of our new brand and adoption of Khoros.
