1. Describe the innovation(s) and how you settled on the decision to innovate (user request, Lithium suggestion, internal idea, etc.)
The Velocity Sales and Partner Portal is our single location for partners and direct sales to access product information, training, and account specific tools. Jive-X enabled us to create extremely granular permissioning to provide each user an experience tailored to what they are contractually able 

to sell for VIAVI. Using an SFDC integration and authenticated single sign on, partners have access to transactional modules like MDF, Deal Registration, and partner company business plans.

We also incorporated a custom coded calendar of upcoming events on our homepage based on feedback that requested this information be highly visible from the homepage.

2. Tell us about how you made it happen Did you stage it first, who got an early look, how you drove adoption/use, and any iterations you had to make to get it right.
Sales and partners were involved in developing requirements for Velocity and key stakeholders from both groups were involved throughout the design and test process. A limited number of partner companies were engaged to test the various modules and their feedback was invaluable when we launched to the rest of our over 300 partners. We redesigned the “My Partner Place” experience to streamline it after launch based on feedback from partners.    

3. What were the results? Tell us how it impacted your customer experience or the outcomes you seek as a business.
In the past, accessing information and training for VIAVI sales and partners was a challenge due to multiple systems with separate logins and passwords. Velocity has enabled salespeople and partners with the specific information and training they need in one easy to access location. Our approach has helped sales and partners become more efficient and increase collaboration due to the ease of accessing the content and tools on Velocity.
