In my experience, the Support team can add additional columns to the user report. For example, they added "URL" and "Biography" to ours at our request. It's worth asking support if they can add First & Last name before going a custom route. Pretty sure they can add first & last name; a list of groups(group hubs?) seems less likely. Cheers!
