The Lithium Get Real Tour team hit up two cities this week, Atlanta, GA and Dallas, TX for the culmination of our US tour. We're still running the tour in Europe and will be in Copenhagen, Denmark and Munich, Germany - check out the latest dates and speaker info on our Get Real event page .

Stop 1: Atlanta

In Atlanta, we hosted a great group at the Palomar Mid Town hotel on Tuesday 12th October. Joining regular speakers, Katy Keim (@KatyKeim) and Sean O'Driscoll (@seanodmvp) from Ant's Eye View, was Mark Hopkins, Social Media Project Manager at Lenovo. Mark talked extensively with Katy about Lenovo's approach to social engagement, particularly the Lenovo community and now how it is evolving with it's community to facebook connector and how they are community sourcing knowledge with their Tribal KB.

The slides are up on SlideShare, but here is an embed of the Atlanta deck.

Stop 2: Dallas

Today for the Dallas leg of the tour, we were at the Four Seasons Las Colinas (venue for the PGA Tour's HP Byron Nelson Championship) in Irving.

Joining the team (Katy and Sean) we were delighted to have Laura Feeney, Community Manager at National Instruments and Becky Carrol, Community Program Manager at Verizon. Katy ran a very lively panel session with Laura and Becky talking through their companies approach to community engagement, how they are both extending the engagement and value of the community through crowdsourced product co-creation with customers, and what some of their upcoming plans were.  The full house audience ran through a variety of Q&A questions from moderation to how to manage ideas and how to grow and promote their communities.

As always Katy and Sean talked 'What's Real and Fake' as well as how companies can evolve to be fully socially engaged enterprises.

I have loaded the decks on to our Slideshare page, but have also included an embed of the slides here.

I wanted to thank all of our customers and tour speakers for this great tour: Barry Paperno-FICO, Todd Shimizu-Juniper Networks, Robbie Hearn-Giffgaff, Mark Hopkins-Lenovo, Laura Feeney-National Instruments and Becky Carroll-Verizon. It's awesome to hear directly from customers what they are doing and let people really find out how they went about generating these great results.

Thanks of course to Sean, who has been with us on every leg of the tour. If you need straightforward, actionable social customer experience advice, then talk to Ant's Eye View
