Some great updates to share tonight!
You're not tired of voting yet, are you? Because now you can cast your votes in the Lithosphere to improve Lithium's enterprise community products and services!
We recommend that you start by reading our Idea Submission Guidelines, and the Ideas FAQ can give you a brief overview of how Ideas work. Then when you're ready, dive right in and submit your ideas, or comment on and vote for the ideas of others.
I've gone ahead and transfered over the top 5 kudoed ideas from the old Suggestion Box to get us started, but feel free to add ideas that you've posted elsewhere in the community as well. The Suggestion Box itself has been marked read-only for archive, but you can still reference it here.
One of the first ideas that was requested after we launched was to request the ability to upload your own avatar icons. Well I'm happy to be able to fulfill that request today with the launch of our new Image Upload feature. There's a brief section about Images in our FAQs to help if you have questions, but here's a quick tutorial on the subject everyone wants to know:
Uploading your avatar icon:
- Go to your public profile.
- Click View Gallery in the new Image Gallery section.
- Upload the desired image (optimal image dimensions are 60px by 60px, as images will be resized to fit).
Before an uploaded image can be used, you must first wait for the image to be reviewed by our moderation team. Once that is complete, follow these remaining steps to complete the process:
- Go to the My Profile section of your account.
- Select the Icons tab and click on the link to select an image from your gallery.
- Click on the approved image you want to use.
Congratulations on your new avatar!
Finally, we've made a few changes to the layout and structure to better accommodate the new product and features, from additional links in the header, to new announcements, and even a shifting so some of the items in the community structure. Nothing major, but we hope it will make it easier to navigate and get started with these new tools.
If you have any questions on these updates, please post them in the comments or use the Help and Feedback board. Or post a new idea to help us improve them!
