Hard to find anything right now using the search toolbar as it doesn't differentiate between Aurora or Classic

  • Yes! A simple thing that would help (not in the search-typeahead use case, but in some other related use cases e.g. viewing content within the feed on the homepage, viewing the search results page) is prefixing ALL Aurora-related nodes with "Aurora" and all Classic-related nodes with "Classic".

Screenshot below of search results page - imagine how much easier it would be to click on the intended document the first time if the name of the node included "Aurora" / "Classic". FWIW, I *just* noticed that there's a label for "Aurora" on this search results page  - but TBH I never look at labels because they are generally useless 🙂

StanGromer and CarolineS â€“ Thank you so much for your feedback! I'm currently in the process of appending "Aurora" to the beginning of all Aurora article titles that do not already have it. I plan to have this finished by mid next week.

Here's an example of what it's looking like in search results with this change:

Does this adequately address the issue?

  • CyJervis for my use cases, I’m generally looking for Classic docs. Sure, I could narrow down to the classic area of the community - but easier not to! 🙂

  • Good news! I've finished adding "Aurora" to all Aurora article titles in Atlas a bit earlier than planned.

You may or may not need to clear your cache for this change to take effect on your end. While I was testing, it seems as though the titles automatically updated in the search results 15 or 20 minutes after the change.

Thank you again for your feedback and I hope that this makes your search endeavors much easier!

All Aurora articles now have "Aurora" in their titles to promote differentiation between Aurora and Classic Community articles.
