Moderation: Appeals System

Settings > Moderation > Appeals

When enabled, users see an "Appeal Decision" button on rejected content, and moderators see an Appeals tab in Manage Content. Enable appeals to provide accountability for AI decisions, catch false positives, build user trust, and gather data on AI accuracy. You might skip it during the testing phase or in small communities where direct moderator contact is preferred. Active appeals can be found under the Appeals tab, next to the Moderation Tab, under Manage Content

Restrict to AI-Only Appeals:
OFF (default) allows users to appeal any rejection by AI or human. ON restricts appeals to AI-moderated content only; human moderator decisions are final.

Maximum Appeals Per Message:
Default is 1. When the limit is reached, the "Appeal Decision" button is hidden. Start with 1, this is typically sufficient and prevents abuse.

Appeal Response Templates
