Cross-Board Posting - Analytics and Limitations
How does cross-board posting impact analytics and activity as well as current limitations
Analytics & measuring impact
Cross-Board Posting is designed to increase posting velocity and reduce mis-posting. These metrics help measure whether it is working.

What to look for |
|---|---|---|
|
Post creation rate |
Analytics → Community Activity |

|
Board selection accuracy |
Moderation Audit log |
↓ in posts moved between boards. Target: 85%+ stay in the originally selected board. |

New member first post rate |
Analytics → Member Lifecycle |
↑ in new members making their first post - key signal that friction is reduced. |
|
Homepage session duration |
Analytics → Page Engagement |

Known limitations (v1)
The following are confirmed product decisions or tracked gaps for a future release.
|
Limitation |
Detail |
Future plan |
|---|---|---|
|
/groups listing page has no entry point |
The /groups directory page has no editable Designer page template and no banner widget surface. The entry point is supported on individual group hub pages (/group/:id), not the listing page. |
A configurable /groups page template is tracked as a separate future effort. |
|
Single board per post |
Members can only post to one board per post. |
Multi-board posting is scoped for a future phase and will be configurable by admins. |
|
No AI board suggestions |
The board picker is manual only. |
AI board recommendations planned for Phase 2. |
|
Category grouping (not flat) |
The picker groups boards under expandable category folders. For very large communities, members may need to expand multiple categories. |
Search is the recommended path for large communities. |
|
Important: The /groups listing page limitation is by design in v1. Members can create posts from any individual group hub page. Direct members to navigate into a specific group hub to use the entry point there. |
