Weird experience trying to reply to a PM

Hi team!

I just failed to send a PM and I thought you might want to know. I failed for 2 reasons:

(1) There was apparently invalid HTML in my response - but ALL I did was type in the editor.

(2) After attempting to submit a couple of times (it kept telling me I had invalid HTML but that it had been removed), I hit the flood limit and can't send for a while.

Maybe my HTML permissions are too limited to be able to even type basic text somehow? And maybe you could boost up the flood limit a bit.

Cheers!

This just happened for me again when submitting a reply to a post.

I put in a link that i didn't actually want to be a link, so I used the editor's "Unlink" feature.

I was then unable to submit the post because of invalid html (presumably because of the "<p data-unlink="true">" that was added.)

Someone needs to make sure the WYSIWYG doesn't add stuff that isn't actually allowed.

@CarolineS it should be fixed now, do you mind testing it again?

@MattYap - hooray, I was able to unlink a link and have the content still submit.

Thanks!

BTW - what did you do to fix this? I worry it's a problem on our community as well (I haven't tested yet :-))

Hi @CarolineS this wouldn't and shouldn't impact your community.

The reason being is we are using a custom HTML parser here on Atlas as whereas your community is using the out of the box HTML parser, the reason it was impacting us on Atlas was that we missed adding the relevant HTML tags

Let us know if there are any others that you come across!
