Forum Visits in LSI

Hi, I am trying to do some analysis on where the traffic is coming into my community.   When you sort by Forums, Blogs, Groups, Ideas, TKBs...is the number showing for visits including any kind of bot traffic or api calls or are these the actual number of physical visits to the page?  When I add them all up, they seem to becoming up higher than expected.

Hi

LSI traffic excludes any bot/crawler traffic.

What you may see is the following.

When a visitor enters the community and views content across multiple content categories (e.g. notebook and desktop) it is counted as a visit in each of the respective content categories, but only one visit overall.

So, the sum of visits reported for individual categories may be higher than the overall community visits.

I agree this may be confusing but hope this clarifies.

Cheers.

Thank you, Wendy. This is helpful.
Is there no way in LSI to tell which of these forums or idea boards...etc gets the initial visit to the lithium platform?

Thank You!

Hi @Jaime_Lee

You're welcome.

As far as I know, LSI does not show this so there is no way to tell. Tools like Adobe Analytics would probably give more insights there.

Have a great day.
