Help with Case Portal on Khoros

What are some best practices for customizing our Case Portal form with filtered 'If statements' in the code?
 
Does anyone on here feel comfortable sharing how you set up your rules/logic for a filtered Case Portal form which synchronizes with SalesForce?
 
We are in the process of updating our Case Portal form and would love to see examples from other Khoros Community Managers of Case Portal forms with filtered logic.
