When either clicking the RSS feed icon or the subscribe to RSS feed option in drop down list (forum), only an RSS document is opening with the following error message:
This XML file does not appear to have any style information associated with it. The document tree is shown below.
How can this be fixed, so that our members can subscribe to RSS feeds? Thank you for your response!
@carolo1 - Is it happening every time or just once? Looks like the content did not load. Did you try reloading the page? Also check a few other threads. And this is not a Lithium issue at all, it is a general issue which you can check on google. Check this for example.
I hope this helps.
Thanks for your response. Results are always the same - on every page, different posts/boards, etc. Are you saying that we don't have an RSS reader?
IE doesn't give me error message but the following text at top of xml page.
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<rss xmlns:content="http://purl.org/rss/1.0/modules/content/" version="2.0" xmlns:taxo="http://purl.org/rss/1.0/modules/taxonomy/" xmlns:rdf="http://www.w3.org/1999/02/22-rdf-syntax-ns#" xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">
I finally found that if you open an RSS URL in a browser that does not have built-in RSS capabilities (e.g., Chrome, Firefox), you will get the error message as shown before.
Here are the browsers, and their support for RSS:
Internet Explorer 11 – yes
Firefox – no
Chrome - no
Microsoft Edge – no
Safari – yes
Opera – in beta status
Thank you for your help - all good now!
