Short url

Hi

We are looking to run a competition which will be share the competition in our community in a print publication. As the url is far too long to add, does anyone know of anyway of creating a friendlier / shorter url on a Lithium community?

TIA

Yeah but only via support, Just raise a support ticket with your desired short name and the destination and they will create it for you. I've got loads in my community and the support guys normally have them set up in a day.

For example:  community.talktalk.co.uk/accessibility  takes you to /t5/TalkTalk-Accessibility/ct-p/talktalk-accessibility

You may also want to show some love to the vanity url manager which would enable you to do this yourself https://community.lithium.com/t5/Product-Ideas/Vanity-URL-Manager/idi-p/261260

Hey @Fellsteruk - for some reason your URL isn't working - OOH, I know, an extra space got added to the end. Seems to be a bug when you just paste in a URL and don't explicitly link to it; the system adds a space at the end when auto-URL-ing it? In any case, here's the proper URL for anyone wanting to check out Fellsteruk's idea: https://community.lithium.com/t5/Product-Ideas/Vanity-URL-Manager/idi-p/261260
