Can Lithium track sentiment on forums and message boards?

It is very clear on the video that it can track social media platforms or blogs, how about forums? If so, which forum platforms?

Hi Spil,

 

We do monitor forums, but we don’t have a list of which ones. We monitor the top 2+ million English forums, and a large number of foreign forums as well. Also, we do have the “Suggest a Source” function. So, if there’s a forum (or blog, news, etc.) that isn’t being monitored/returned in the results, you can suggest to us that we add the source. From there, we send it to our provider and once they add it to their list, it’s being monitored from there on out.

Although, maybe I did not ask the right question. What if the goal is to monitor our in-house forum to see what is the sentiment there, rather than monitor the general social media landscape?
Would that be possible with the Lithium products?

Hi Spil -
Yes, our listening products + community products come together in the Customer Intelligence Center. Our natural language processor works in two ways. First we'll detect sentiment for posts that appear in your community (along with the other social channels) and then we'll pull out the "quotes" that express the most attitude or emotion.
