Khoros has introduced Google Q&A Structured Data in Lithium Community 18.12 Release Notes. Starting with the 18.12 Release, the markup for all community forum pages has been updated to support the latest Google Q&A Structured Data guidelines. But it is not working well with my communities. I see the 4 errors, Missing field "mainEntity.name", Missing field "mainEntity.answerCount", Either "acceptedAnswer" or "suggestedAnswer" should be specified, Missing field "mainEntity.suggestedAnswer.text", detected by Google through Google Search Console.
I am not sure if you are having the same problem with me. Is Google QA Structured Data working for your community? I am trying to make it work for my community. Appreciate any suggestion on that. Thanks in advance!
Great news! I got the notification from Google Search Console that Q&A issues successfully fixed for my site. But the valid page # is still 0. We still get Zero Q&A traffic from Google. Anyone has successfully got Q&A traffic from Google?
Thanks & Regards,
No, in Google Search Console the valid Q&A page # of my site is still 0. We still get Zero Q&A traffic from Google. I don't know what else I can do, to get the Q&A traffic from Google.
What types of sites does Q&A structure data work for? Google said this Q&A structured data works for sites that have pages that are already in a question and answer format. The examples given include social news sites, expert forums, and help and support message boards. WalgreensListens Survey
Good question! In my perspective Q&A structure data should work for my community, where almost all the posts are Q&A basis. But Google has not started showing this rich preview for my community topics yet after this feature was introduced one year ago.
Khoros released this feature in 18.12. Starting with the 18.12 Release, the markup for all community forum pages has been updated to support the latest Google Q&A Structured Data guidelines. The search result listing highlights the solved answer (if it exists) and other answers in carousel format with the number of votes/kudos each has received. Note: Google will not start showing this rich preview for forum topics from your community immediately. The new markup will increase the likelihood that Google will use a rich search results format.
