Marketo Lithium Integration - Blog Post Email Campaigns

Has anyone integrated Lithium with Marketo to deliver customized email campaigns originating from blog posts or scheduled blog posts?  As an example, we would like to deliver an email to all members of a community when a new blog post occurs (not every blog post - just specific ones from specific users), but rather than including the entire text of the blog post in the message the hope is to only include a "teaser" blurb that encourages users to click through into Lithium to read the full post.  We are hoping to then track the read/click rates so we gain insight into user engagement originating from these types of campaigns.  Any insight into the implementation would be much appreciated. Thank you!

@travis5550 how did you get on with finding a solution for this?

Interested in knowing how best to integrate Marketo and Lithium, to be able to track community visitors and to automate/trigger email comms. Thanks.

Re: Marketo Lithium Integration - Blog Post Email Campaigns

@travis5550 -

You could always start out doing this manually (if you haven't already!) and see how it goes before investing in an integration.

To manually send an email to community members via Marketo - just download a list of users from the User Report in admin, then upload to a list in Marketo. You'll be able to see reports of open rates / click rates from Marketo.

I personally do this twice a week to send welcome emails to community members, since we haven't gotten an integration sorted out yet.

Cheers!
