I wanted to share a nice new area of our community that we just launched - our All-Star area, which features bios of each of our VIPs (we call them "All-Stars") & a bit of info about our program.
We have labels for each year that the member is part of the program, which eliminates the need for a separate area for "retired" members - instead, you can just filter to see the current All-Stars.
This was created quite easily - it's a blog w/ masonry layout on the BlogPage.
Thought it might be useful to someone!
This is very cool. I feel like there should be some sort of March Madness tournament of "best community avatar" across all our communities. I love seeing how creative people get.
Love it. I try to stress this to everyone with the various platforms we utilize for Community - We can build pretty much anything that exists on the internet, it's more just accepting the fact it may only be 90% of what was imagined, yet to an end user they would never know it wasn't intended to do exactly this.
Thanks for sharing @CarolineS . It's always good to see what others are doing and how they are doing it. I like how you have avatars right on that main page. I built a somewhat similar page a while back using a category with a TKB beneath it. https://community.microfocus.com/t5/Knowledge-Partner-Program/ct-p/KnowledgePartners It's working but now you've inspired me to get avatars out there instead of just on the individual's pages like we do now.
@StanGromer Yes!! We could have made this way more beautiful And full-featured with some help from a designer and developer... and like three months. Instead I made it in an evening, and it serves its purpose just fine!!
