Analytics: Category ID Filter

How do we find the category ID?  I tried to enter the ID in the URL, but Analytics requires a numeric value only in the category ID field.

The only place I know of where you can see the numeric category ID is in analytics itself - see screenshot:

Alternatively, you could filter by Category Name instead which provides a pick list to choose from.

@CyJervis That was my first thought until I realized my team will have to do this for 21 categories daily.  I recommended scheduled reports, but we look at different data sets throughout the week sometimes.  I wanted something easier for them to copy and paste into the ID field.

Wow! That is a lot of reporting to pull daily. Have you considered using the bulk data API and doing your own reporting? We (technically our data team) ingest our community data daily and then have dashboards for key metrics so we can slice and dice at will. We can also then combine data from other repositories to gain further insights.

I actually just got my team a Domo license to write reports.  They started training yesterday.

I would love to hear how you setup your dashboards as it has been something we know we need.
