Articles never saved even though indicated it did

One of our authors created an article and selected Save (not publish) so she could come back to it later. It showed it was saved (green bar that said "saved"), but now it is no where in the Community (not in any article section or her drafts).

 

Has anyone else hit this problem before?

Is it possible that it went into spam quarantine? Try searching by both author / title of the article if you don't immediately see it.
