For SEO, H1 tags are important. Ideally, I have one H1 tag that describes the page - https://www.searchenginejournal.com/h1-tag-seo-how-important/387306/
For the forum topic title, there is a setting in Community Admin > System > SEO > “Tag to use when showing topic subject on forums” and “Tag to use when showing message subjects in a list” both of these have been set to h1.
But that results in more than one H1 tag, especially if I have a box like "Recently completed ideas" where there are title tags too.
I played around with the settings, but I didn't find a setting that ensures just one H1 is showing up. How could I achieve that?
Hello did you find any solutions?
@beacampos the short answer is to change the below settings (Community Admin > System > SEO >) to the default of H2.
Take a look at this thread for a better explanation. Can titles of posts (on boards) be changed from h2 tags to h1 tags?
Thank you for your fast reply! Indeed I had set the bottom one as h1, since what I need is the Topic subject to be h1.. Not sure why it needs to be h2 but I will try on stage first to check it out 🙂 Thank you!
I just did it but nothing really happened.. I've escalated the case to Khoros but they don't seem to be able to figure it out!
Hi @beacampos, I've passed along this feedback, and it seems this issue is being addressed in a separate ticket ( I also see that you have been updated about this through email).
