A very specific question, but I am hoping that someone will be able to help me out.
Our community has been active since 2015 and there is a lot of content on it that is either repetitive or out of date. In an attempt to make our community easier to navigate and search, we have started to archive posts from 2017 and earlier.
An unintended consequence of this has been that some of our super users have noticed that their cumulative kudos count has gone down. We have not been deleting threads, only moving them to an area that is only accessible to Moderators. The theory for now is that users can only see kudos earned in areas of the community that they have access to.
Our super users are worried that this reduction in their total kudos will impact their reputation on the community, especially for newer users. Is there a way that we can make the kudos earned on threads in the moderator section visible to all of our users? Or any other way we can ensure these archived kudos are not lost?
Thanks,
Tiana
You are 100% correct, the total kudo counts that users can see are based on what they have access to on Community. It does not affect your ranking or badge system so users will get credit for these for whatever gamification you are running.
I agree that seeing totals based on all content rather than content you can see would be a good idea though, suggest you raise it on the idea exchange; https://community.khoros.com/t5/Khoros-Community-Ideas/idb-p/Lithium_Ideas
