Ideas for embedded surveys?

Hi all!

We are a team looking for options to do surveys in our Lithium powered communities. The supported "polls" functionality is a bit too limited for our needs. We would like to embed more powerful surveys into community posts. Like the one attached below. Does anybody know if and how it can be done?

<script>(function(t,e,s,n){var o,c,a;t.SMCX=t.SMCX||[],e.getElementById(n)||(o=e.getElementsByTagName(s),c=o[o.length-1],a=e.createElement(s),a.type="text/javascript",a.async=!0,,a.src=["https:"===location.protocol?"https://":"http://",""].join(""),c.parentNode.insertBefore(a,c))})(window,document,"script","smcx-sdk");</script>

i use an iframe for survey monkey embedding. its not perfect but it works.

Thanks for your input. I am a HTML-dummy. Could you give me a step-by-step instruction of how to do it?

Show more
<div id="surveyMonkeyInfo" style="width: 700px; color: #000000; font-size: 10px;">
<div><iframe src="" width="700" height="600" frameborder="0"></iframe></div>

Thanks. I will have to allow that HTML tag on my site.

We tried embedding a survey into a post, but since it was JavaScript, the TMC Editor didn't like it. Using a custom content module and a custom forum page quilt, we can embed a survey.

Hi, did you engage Lithium Professional Services to help with this implementation?  From start to finish, how many hours did this take?

Jaime Lee

No, I did this myself. I just added a custom content module to an otherwise standard discussion board quilt, and dropped the code to call an offline survey into it. It was mostly a proof of concept.

Thank you @JamesWoodsSM !!! I have been trying to figure this out for the past day, the iframe came in clutch! 🙂

Much appreciated.

Hello! We are looking for references on how to show an embedded survey in our Community. Can you please provide links on how yours look or any suggestions on best practices for the location of the surveys in the community?
