RSS feed error: This XML file does not appear to have any style information associated with it.

Good day everyone,
I have community members trying to pull content from my gated community via "Subscribe to RSS feed"

When they select subscribe, they get the following error message:
"This XML file does not appear to have any style information associated with it. The document tree is shown below."

I have RSS enabled within Community

Seems the URL generated has errors in it.

  • Has anyone encountered this and how did you repair it?
  • If you are successfully using RSS, how did you enable it?
  • Does the fact that I have a private community impact the ability to use RSS?

Thank you,
Toby

Hi Toby,

I believe this is expected. You will need to have an RSS Feed Reader installed on your browser for it to work.

Here's the same steps here in Atlas but with a reader installed in my browser:

Thanks @lilim could the fact my community be private be an issue? Have you seen this: https://community.khoros.com/t5/General-system-setup/Set-up-RSS-feed-subscriptions-for-private-forum...
Cheers,

The error about styling is seen even on public pages though. Maybe it's not possible to have an RSS feed subscription to a private page, even if you have permissions to access it. 🤔Have you tried installing an RSS feed reader in your browser?
