Tags, quotes, and notifications (oh my)

I know that tagging a user in a post will show up in that user's notification feed, but what about quoting that user?

Did a little test with one of our users (as seen below in the screenshot) and we found that the tag in a quote doesn't show in the notification feed, this is normal behavior correct?

Any help is much appreciated.

Thanks! Your reply showed in my feed, but I would've expected it to since this is my thread. I supposed my question is more of whether this reply now will show in your notification feed because of the "lolagoetz wrote:" part of the quote.
