building lithium (li3) ui component in non-lithium environment

I am new to Lithium (li3) framework. I want to build lithium UI component in non-lithium environment. What is the best way to do it? Using views or REST API or any other way?

Unfortunately you seem to have taken the wrong exit from the internet data highway. "Lithium" is the former name of the Khoros Community product you see in action here.
