Lithium helps brand communities to engage customers with common interests and experiences. So it makes sense for Lithium to do the same with another group of customers – our employees.
Lithium Giving Program
We have an internal employee program that is all about giving back. It aims to engage our team in local communities by supporting causes that they are passionate and care deeply about. Besides achieving moral satisfaction, helping others puts things in a new perspective. It takes employees out of the day to day, creates team camaraderie, and builds lasting relationships with charitable organizations.
Did you know? Lithium employees have the opportunity to volunteer while on the clock! Lithium offers each employee 24 hours of Volunteer Time Off (VTO) per year, so that our team feels empowered to give back to local communities and causes they support. We also help encourage use of VTO by organizing monthly volunteer events for employees to participate in.
There’s a range of ways Lithium lends a hand, everything from volunteering with local organizations, hosting clothing drives, to participating in corporate challenges. Take a look at some of the recent initiatives we’ve been involved in!
SF AIDS Walk
To show our support in the fight against AIDS, we rallied up 28 sponsors and walkers to represent Team Lithium! We trekked 6.2 miles through SF’s Golden Gate Park, and managed to raise $2,760 for the cause. This is a huge accomplishment for us, and thanks to all our supporters for making it happen.
Tough Mudder – UK
A number of hardy folks from our UK team competed in a local Tough Mudder competition. On top of the muddy craziness, they also took the challenge of fundraising for Breast Cancer Care.
After a few limps, hobbles, cuts, odd bruises, and aching muscles, our team managed to raise £1,505.38! Way to show who’s boss!

Local community volunteering
We like to keep a presence in the communities we work and live in. Our employees volunteer in such efforts as: serving in soup kitchens for homeless communities, sorting at local food banks, preparing meals for homebound seniors, habitat restoration and conservation, and more. The organizations we’ve partnered with include Glide Foundation, St. Vincent de Paul Society, Meals on Wheels, and Mobile Loaves & Fishes.
Our Giving program is another way we aim to make Lithium GREAT, through inspiring and engaging employees to make a difference all around us. You can help, too! We love to see the support from our Lithium fans, so make sure to keep an eye out for future opportunities where you can be involved.
