CheckMates evolved from a previous community effort around a specific software release (R80) that involved building awareness, learning, providing support, and demonstrating innovation to our Enterprise customers. It has since grown to include nearly all of Check Point's products and services and includes both the on-line community, virtual events, and in-person events.
Once we articulated the need to our CEO and Chief Product Officer, and the right people were involved with the effort, there was no difficulty in getting buy-in to build CheckMates. Since then, we've involved other executives as specific needs were identified. To better support our educational efforts, we have done a fair amount of custom code to make our various educational resources available in a more friendly way to both our customers and our partners.
CheckMates recently turned five years old, as noted in the below video. We currently get more than 120,000 visitors a month with more than 70,000 members registered. We have built product features and generally improved our products and services based on feedback from our community members.
