Hi imran_patharwat, sorry for the extremely late response. I must have missed the notification for your reply, and a co-worker just clued me in on it.
We chose AWS since we already had existing infrastructure there, since our other non-community products and teams have been using it. This had the benefit of allowing us to get to market quickly with our migration, and we could leverage the expertise of those teams and people that were already using the platform.
That being said, we aren't locked into AWS for any future considerations.
