Addressing Twitter's Automation Policy Changes
Last week, Twitter published a blog post about policy changes that they are making in order to combat automated spam on their platform. Combined with these policy changes, Twitter also announced that they will no longer allow 3rd party platforms to schedule or publish a message to more than one Twitter account at the same time. This means that Twitter will require Spredfast (and all other similar platforms) to make a change to the publishing functionality we make available to our customers. Specifically, we (along with all other similar platforms) will be required to remove the ability to schedule or publish a message to multiple Twitter accounts.
In order to bring our platform into compliance with this new policy, we will be making an important change to our publishing modal on March 16th. Once this change is in effect, when you expand the account drop down, you will only be able to select one Twitter account at a time per message.
Moreover, the new policy requires us to restrict users from scheduling a message for automatic publication to multiple Twitter accounts at the same time, as part of a distributed Plan.
These changes will not impact your ability to continue to select multiple accounts from other social networks at the same time in order to efficiently customize and schedule posts or distributed messages.
