What is this?
Customers will now have the option to tag users on their Instagram posts.
When would I use this?
This feature will be useful if you would like to tag users on your Instagram posts.
This sounds great! Where can I find it?
You can tag the users while creating an Instagram post. Under the message box, a new section is created where you can tag the users.
Instagram User Tagging
When you are creating the post, select the account as Instagram and add an image.
Under the message box, you will find a new section to tag users. Click on the ‘Tag Profile’ option to tag users.

If the image is not added to the post ‘Tag Profile’ button will be disabled.

Click on ‘Tag Profile’ to open a dialogue box to tag Instagram users

Click anywhere on the image tag an Instagram user

Add a valid Instagram user. You can only tag one user at a time.
Note: The username should be maximum 30 characters and can contain only letters, numbers, periods, and underscores. If any of the usernames are wrong the post will not be published.

After the user tag is added it will be visible on the image and in the ‘Tagged Profile’ section under the image

You can tag up to 20 users to an image

After tagging the users on the image, when you preview the post the tagged profiles will be visible.

You can tag a profile and also add a location for the same Instagram post

When the scheduled or published post is viewed in the side panel the user tags will be visible on the image

After the post is published the user tags will be visible as on any other Instagram posts

Restrictions
- Only valid Instagram users can be tagged to the posts. If there is any issue with the user profiles, an error will be thrown by Instagram and the post will not be published.
- While tagging the profile there is a basic check if the username is as per Instagram’s format i.e. user name should only contain letters, numbers, periods, and underscores
- Instagram user tagging is available only for Direct Publishing posts not for Mobile Handoff types of posts.
