What is this?
The Instagram authentication process in Intelligence has been updated to make it easier to add and remove authenticated Instagram accounts.
When would I use this?
Intelligence requires users to authenticate an Instagram account in order to be able to track hashtags, authors, and account mentions. The new authentication process makes it easier to add and remove authenticated Instagram accounts as needed.
Previously, authenticating an additional Instagram account required all of the currently authenticated accounts to be removed first.
This sounds great! Where can I find it?
In Intelligence, choose Instagram as your search channel and then select the Hashtags tab. Then select the down arrow next to the currently authenticated Instagram account.
Does everyone have access to the new Instagram Authentication process?
The new Instagram authentication process is available to all Intelligence users.
Follow these steps to authenticate additional Instagram accounts in Intelligence
1 - Click the Hashtags tab in the Instagram Channel
2 - Click the down arrow next to your authenticated Instagram account
3 - Click Manage Accounts
4 - Click Edit Settings in the Authentication Dialog
5 - Click the check box next to the Instagram Business accounts you want to authenticate and then click Next. If you have both Intelligence and Experiences these choices will affect both platforms.
6 - Click the check box next to the Facebook pages that are tied to the Instagram accounts you chose in Step 5 and then click Next.
7 - Agree to the access permissions and click Done
8 - Click OK to complete the authentication process
What else should I know
If you also have the Experiences platform in addition to Intelligence, then changes to your authenticated Instagram accounts will also affect your Experiences platform.
