jamiemccardle is was a direct community analytics change as opposed to an application update, so the change would have no impact on application performance. What you're describing is know as a "System too busy" error where something is causing requests to be backed up and potentially fail.
If you're still seeing this issue, please contact outage@khoros.com since it'd qualify as an outage. I do see an alert around performance for your community in our monitoring (meaning on-call is aware), but I'd follow with our outage folks regardless.
