With our commitment to improving platform security as well as ease of use, we are excited to release the ability for you to use authenticator apps such as Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, etc for the verification codes needed to log in to Khoros Marketing.

While this is an optional feature, we strongly encourage users to take advantage of this to both increase account security and for the convenience it brings.

How to opt in to using an authenticator app

When you go to your user profile, you will see a new "Security" section. This is where you can opt in to and configure the ability to receive the multi-factor authentication verification codes via Authenticator apps (or SMS) instead of through email.

  • Is it possible to enable multiple forms in case we do not have one of the authentication methods available?  (i.e. can we select both Authenticator App and E-mail)

Zach_Langbehn Yes, you can enable multiple forms, but only one of them is active at a time. Whichever enabled method is "highest" in the list is the one that will be used. So for example, if you have email, SMS, and authenticator app enabled, the Khoros system will not send you a verification to your email or SMS because authenticator app supersedes those.
