CarolineS Yes, you are right. There are two different buttons - "<> " & "</>" - in editor . "<>" corresponds to the HTML editing of the post and "</>" corresponds to inserting a sample code into a post.
Warren_Brill The previous text formatting tool is still the same - "</>" and has not been changed. Users on hover can see what the button corresponds to and is also improved to "Insert/edit a code sample" for better understanding.
Problem with previous editor was that the RTE, HTML and Preview were shown as three different tabs. It often was confusing to a normal end user who wants to only type some text and not worry about HTML code. With Editor V2, we solve it by keeping it simple with no tabs and optimised toolbar - 19.1 notes.
Only a user who requires advanced options i.e. a blog/TKB composer for formatting or a tech user for HTML edit will go for the advanced tool bar. Hope this helps
