Users will now be able to create any number of subfolders within a folder in content Center.

Introducing Home Folder

Home folder gives a view of all the parent folders. You can create a new parent folder by navigating to Home and clicking on “Add New” - > Folder.

To create subfolders in a specific folder/subfolder, please navigate to that specific folder/subfolder and click on 'Add New' and then select 'Folder'. A sub-folder will be created in the parent folder as soon as a name is provided for the sub-folder.

For example, if would like to create a subfolder in “121” parent folder, Simply navigate to '121 'folder and then click on Add New - New folder.

You can also see the navigation path at the top of the screen. For example, in the above case it displays Home>121>121-A.  This path is clickable and you can navigate to associated folders/subfolders.

There is no limit on the levels of subfolders you can create within a folder. You will be able to view the hierarchy of the subfolders in the left side panel.

If you expand the arrow icon next to a folder/subfolder in the left side panel , you will be able to view all the associated subfolders.

Search functionality

If you would like search for an asset/folder/subfolder  across the entire content center, please navigate to  'Home' folder and type in the key words in the “Search” option on the top right side of the screen

In case you would like to search for an asset/subfolder in a specific folder, please navigate to that folder and type in the keywords in the “Search” option.

If you would like to know the location of an asset - you can click on the asset. The side-panel display will show the path of the asset under "Location"

You will be able to upload content to publishing from any of the subfolders/folders in the publishing window.

Points to Note:

  • All the parent folder access permissions will be passed on to the new subfolder created
  • Folder names should be unique at a given level of the hierarchy. i.e. if there is folder A, then there cannot be more than one folder named "B" directly under A. There can of course be folders named B at other levels of the hierarchy
  • The subfolders is not accessible as of now from social inbox.
