Twitter has just released Fleets:

Fleets are for sharing momentary thoughts – they help start conversations and only stick around for 24 hours.

We have been in close touch with Twitter as they have been testing this feature.. However, Twitter has not made this content type available in their APIs today, nor is there an estimated date yet for when it will be made available to partners via API.

Meanwhile, Khoros would like to share feedback with Twitter about your examples, anecdotes, and how you would like to use Fleets in Social Marketing.  Be a part of the groundswell and comment below.

Vault customers: Reminder that Fleets can be leveraged via your Twitter access in the Vault workflow.

Version 4.0
  • Fleets functions similarly to the Stories approaches on Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and other social platforms. So we'll use to share momentary thoughts via text, reactions to Tweets, photos and videos in a story-like form.

  • Instagram stories are useful for sharing UGC (User Generated Content) and for multiple posts on the same issue or images which we do not want in our main feed as they could clutter up our timeline.

Instagram stories are also useful for advertising, so I see the potential of using Fleets in the same way as we would stories for UGC, sponsored and "fleeting stories" we do not want clogging up our main stream.

Will we be able to use the new Twitter Carousel on Khoros? I am guessing we will need to use directly on Twitter as it is a paid for advertising feature, but I was wondering if we would see the analytics pulled in, the same way as Instagram stories are pulled into Khoros even after we have natively posted on Instagram.
