We appreciate your patience while we’ve taken the time necessary to have developers regain access to our APIs in a safe and secure manner. If you are a Khoros Marketing customer who builds tools or integrates via our APIs, there are actions you will need to take to get back up and running:

If you want to use the Khoros Marketing APIs

First, you will need to generate a new JWT access token. Here are the steps to accomplish that:

  1. Reach out to our support team (support@khoros.com) to request that your API app be enabled. If you previously had an API app with Khoros (if you previously had a client id/secret), those credentials are no longer valid, and our support team can generate a new one for you.
  2. Once you have your new client id/secret, head over to the Khoros Dev Center (https://devcenter.spredfast.com/api). From there, go to any API end point; for example https://devcenter.spredfast.com/api/conversations-v2/conversations/me/me
  3. Scroll to the bottom and click on the blue “Get Access Token” button.
  4. In the window that pops up, enter your client id and secret, and click the green “Get Access Token” button.
  5. You will be prompted to go through the user login process. Once you log in, you will be asked if you authorize the app to act on your behalf. Confirm that you allow this.
  6. You will be taken back to the main page, and the field titled “oauth_access_token” (above the blue button) will have your new JWT access token.
  7. Use that token to make the API calls from your system to ours.

If you want to use the Experiences APIs

Many Experiences APIs do not require the use of an API key at all. If you want to use any of the APIs that require an API key, here’s where you can get it:

  1. Log in to Experiences.
  2. In the top right corner, click on your avatar, and go to your Profile Settings.
  3. In the left column, you will see your API key.
  4. Use that token to make API calls
