Khoros Care Release Notes, week of October 5, 2020
Khoros Care updates do not require any downtime. This release will be deployed with no expected impact to your operations until you configure the new features. If you do not yet see the new features, they will be pushed to your system later in the week.
New Features
Google My Business integration
Have you ever Googled a business to find their nearest location? Have you ever left a review or asked a question about how holidays impact business hours? Imagine users all over the world using Google the same way.
Brands need a way to discover insights into how individual business locations are performing. Khoros Care now enables brands to integrate Google My Business (GMB) and get visibility into how tens, hundreds, or even thousands of locations are performing. Additionally, brands can respond directly to your customers.
After completing your GMB integration, you can:
- Reply to customer reviews or questions
- Gain performance insights. (Currently, reviews are fetched approximately every 10 minutes.)
- Get rating reporting for each individual location
- Get reporting based on zip code, city, state, or country
Note: You can use the same Workflows, Engagement, and Reporting that you currently have in place for any channel. However, there are some additional capabilities, which is covered in the full documentation.
Note: To have the Google My Business channel enabled for your Khoros Care instance, open a Support ticket.

Community Moderation via Manage View in Khoros Care
Manage View for Community adds a new Moderation column type in Khoros Care’s Manage View. Based on the Post column type, Moderation columns add some of the most common community moderation features.
Moderation columns present community posts as they arrive. These posts might be new topics in forums, accepted solutions, ideas, etc. Regardless, when moderation is active (enabled) and supported for that discussion style, the post is presented in the Moderation column for moderator review and action.
Note: Manage View is not intended to be a total replacement for other community moderation and management options. Rather, Manage View for Community is meant as an aid for moderators and managers in high-scale, complex communities, supporting primary use cases as encountered daily.
Requirements
To use Community Moderation in Manage View for this initial release, you must meet these requirements:
- The associated Khoros Community must be updated to at least 20.8 and must be integrated with Khoros Care.
- Community members must be granted the Manage View Moderator role, which is set in the Khoros Care Response “Admin” controls for Manage View users.
- Care users with the Manage View Moderator user type must have a community handle that includes “moderator” permissions for the boards being moderated. This handle can be mapped manually or via SSO in Response.
