What is this?

Khoros has released the following conversion metrics to help advertisers measure the performance of their ads:

Conversion metrics are helpful when you’re trying to drive and measure valuable actions. 

Imagine you’re selling shoes to your audience. Someone clicks on your ad and goes to your website and browses. Then they leave it. That same person sees your ad tomorrow, clicks on the website, and puts a pair of shoes in their shopping cart. But then they leave again. 

Just because this person did not buy a pair of shoes today does not mean that the ad was not effective. This person now knows they like your shoes -- enough to maybe buy them. Perhaps tomorrow, they will go directly to your website and complete the process again and this time buy your shoes, without the help of your ad. 

Conversion Metrics help you track the effectiveness of your ad throughout the process - not just at the beginning or the end. 

This sounds great! Where can I find it?

You can find Facebook’s conversion metrics within Khoros Marketing Analytics. These metrics are located within all of the table widgets, the new Ad Explorer Widget, and as new KPI widgets: 

  • Purchase ROAS (Return on Ad Spend) - for purchases only (this metric is specific to FB)*
  • Total Conversions
  • Conversion Value
  • Cost of Conversion

Does everyone have access to the new metrics and widgets? 

Yes!  As long as your company has authenticated ad account(s), and you have access to marketing analytics, you can add these new widgets to your Marketing Dashboards to measure ad performance.
