Now Available: Improved Ad Filtering in Marketing Analytics
What is this?
Improvements to Marketing analytics filters that save time and make it easier to report specific channels and paid content.
The Channel filter has been updated to include Instagram filtering. Previously this filter was tied to the ad network channel rather than the channels ads were placed on. This caused data to not populate when Instagram was selected.
Now, when Instagram is selected, ad widgets populate for all ads placed on that channel. Note that if an ad is placed on Instagram and Facebook results show for both channels. The Ad Placement filter can be used to further refine those results to a specific channel.
The Channel and the Account filter have also been updated to only show ad filter options connected to the selected ad network or networks. Narrowing down the list of options such as campaigns that appear makes it easier to find options related to a specific ad network and channel.
Similarly, the Ad Campaign and Ad Set filter have been updated to only show options active in the date range. This means they are ongoing or have an end date during or after the date range. Previously, all campaigns and ad sets ingested in the platform appeared in these filters creating a long list of options that weren’t specific to the time period.
When would I use this?
Filters can be used to report on specific content and channels. They assist with reporting on ads alone in combination with posts. These updates will save time and make it easier to report in both scenarios.
This sounds great! Where can I find it?
