What is changing?

The ability to add captions/descriptions on the bulk asset upload from the mobile that will be carried over to the publishing window in Khoros Marketing.

Why is this change being implemented?

Earlier a user was able to upload the assets (images/videos) to the content centre either by capturing a live moment or by selecting assets from the camera gallery of mobile. However, s/he was not able to able add any caption/description about each of the assets on bulk upload.

With this release, a user can select multiple images/videos of up to 100 files for upload. Each image should not be larger than 15MB, and each video should not exceed 5GB. There is a count indicator at the bottom of the screen to reflect the number of assets selected. Once the maximum limit is reached, a user can not select further assets and the rest of the files will be greyed out on the screen.

Next, click on each of the files in the carousel to add a title/description. Tap the ‘X’ at the top right of a thumbnail to remove it from the upload in case it is uploaded by mistake. Unless a Default Folder has been selected in Settings, a destination folder must be selected for this upload. Select the labels and consent to be applied to all assets in this upload.

Note: Tapping Cancel at any point during this process discards all Titles, Descriptions, and Labels and returns you to the Camera Roll screen.

Once you have added all desired details, tap Upload to proceed.

Note: If any assets exceed the file size restrictions, the Upload button will be inactive. These assets will be displayed at the beginning of the queue and marked with an error - tap the X at the top right of a thumbnail to remove it from the upload.

The Uploads page lists recent Khoros Capture uploads made from the device and their current upload progress. Tap Clear in the top right to clear the list (this does not affect the progress or status of any uploads). If an error occurs during an upload, tap Retry next to each asset to reattempt.

Are these changes available to all customers? What will it cost?

These changes are available to all current and existing customers of Khoros at no additional cost.
