New Features
Brand Messenger emoji picker for Modern Chat widgets
The new emoji picker is now available for Brand Messenger. This setting is turned on by default and enables agents and customers to include emojis when communicating via Modern Chat widget (SDK).
Note: The emoji picker is not available for Brand Messenger Legacy.
To manage the emoji picker setting:
- Sign in to Khoros Care as an Admin user and go to Settings > Brand Messenger > General Settings.
- Below CUSTOMER FACING SETTINGS, use the toggle to turn on or off the Enable emoji picker option.
Your selection is saved automatically.
When the emoji picker is turned on, it appears in the chat window to the left of the response field.

Mention Community members
In the Common Conversation Panel, you can now mention or tag any community member in a comment thread or post using the @ symbol followed by the first 2 or more letters of the member’s community handle in the same community. Mentioned members are notified via email and/or in-app notifications . This functionality helps to create community engagement between community members and is a great way to pull superusers into the thread.
For more information, see Conversation Panel.

Manage View
- Previously, when a Manage View user clicked a Community author’s profile, the profile did not open and displayed an error message. We have fixed this issue, and now, you can view the author’s profile by clicking the profile link.
- The conversation column did not filter results when the user selected the Open status in the Needs Approval filter. You can now select the Open status in the Needs Approval filter for a column to see the list of your requests that are still pending approval by other users. Note that if you are looking for items that need your approval, you can add a Needs My Approval personal column to your view.
