Khoros Care updates do not require any downtime. This release will be deployed with no expected impact to your operations until you configure the new features. If you do not yet see the new features, they will be pushed to your system later in the week.

New Features

TikTok integration

With this release, we are excited to announce support for our TikTok integration. TikTok’s new Comment Moderation API enables Khoros to ingest public comments made on brand-owned TikTok videos into Care. Now, brands can broaden their marketing reach to new audiences through one of the fastest-growing digital channels in the world.

TikTok conversations can be managed from Agent View and support standard text content up to 150 characters. You can like, hide, and delete TikTok posts. Responding with other media objects, such as images, gifs, and videos, is not supported.

To integrate TikTok with Care, you must have a TikTok Business account. Business accounts are currently free and can be created from an existing account.

Note: To have TikTok enabled for your Khoros Care instance, open a ticket with our Support team. If you’re a new Care customer, reach out to your account manager.

After you’ve created a TikTok business account and asked for the integration to be enabled, follow the instructions in Connect Khoros Care to different sources.

Note: Although automatic sentiment detection is a core feature of Care, we have disabled this feature for TikTok posts at TikTok’s request. TikTok is interested, however, in learning from Khoros users about the importance of having this feature available. If this is something you’d like to see enabled for TikTok posts in Care, please let your account team know.

Additional languages for Modern Chat theme interface

When customers interact with your brand through Modern Chat, they see standard chat elements such as time stamps, read message indicators, and a Send button. These elements display in the same language as the customer’s browser settings, unless you manually select a specific language for your theme.

With this release, we’ve expanded the list of supported chat interface languages to include the following:

  • Chinese (Simplified)
  • Chinese (Traditional)
  • Japanese
  • Korean

Note: The previous list of supported languages included Chinese, which only supported translation into Traditional Chinese.

To learn more, see Modern Chat Themes.
