TikTok organic publishing

This wait is over! TikTok publishing and calendar visibility are now available to all Marketing customers.

TikTok videos along with captions, hashtags and mentions can be scheduled and published via the platform and included within plans and labels. Duet, Stitch and comments can also be enabled and disabled at the time of publishing.

TikTok analytics are now available to all Marketing customers! TikTok account and content metrics are available in Marketing Dashboards, Custom Metrics and Data Exports. There is also a TikTok dashboard template containing all supported widgets.

Time Series widgets improvements

A new display setting has been added to the Post Performance Over Time widget introduced last month. To reach these settings in Edit mode on the dashboard, hover over a widget and click the Pencil icon. Along with the other Display Settings you will now see Column Breakdown.

The selector includes Account and Channel options. Selecting an option breaks the data down in the widget by that option. Note that only the top 5 options appear for Account; the remaining options are categorized as "other.” Each option will display in a different color as shown below:

Also, the Post Performance Over Time widget now supports Custom Metrics.

Intelligence

Facebook data store changes: Phase II

To comply with Facebook’s latest policies, each customer must specify upfront the public pages that they want to track. This is similar to Intelligence’s Instagram model; in a sense, each customer creates their own data store. The results Intelligence serves will be from within their own data store. The data store is at a customer account level (and not at a user level).

Phase I of this process began on February 14, 2022. Intelligence customers are now able to start adding pages to source content for their own data store in preparation for Phase II (see below). However, during Phase I, customers will continue to access results from the global pool.

As an update to our previous announcement about this feature, note that Phase II is now scheduled to kick-off on June 15, 2022. During Phase II, customers will be transferred to their own pool. Results for Intelligence Facebook searches will be served only from pages they have tracked. We encourage you to finish adding Facebook pages of interest before Phase II begins on June 15th so you will be able to get underlying data as quickly as possible.

  • Fixed a bug in the organic publishing workflow wherein a user could not "Save Unscheduled" posts.
  • Fixed a bug in YouTube publishing wherein video tags were getting excluded despite successfully publishing the post.
  • Fixed a bug in direct Publishing a video to Instagram wherein the option to Frame Grab a custom thumbnail and select it before publishing was missing.
  • Fixed a bug in organic publishing wherein scheduling Instagram posts via the Content Center and the Calendar was returning a 500 server error.
  • Resolved an issue that prevented some users from seeing the Approvals tab on the left side of the publishing dashboard.
  • Fixed a bug in Intelligence wherein a user was encountering an error while sourcing Instagram content for hashtags and followed authors.
  • Custom Metric sorting is now supported in the Post Explorer widget. However, the widget continues to only show the top or bottom 250 posts for the selected metric.
  • Resolved an issue in which labels and plans were only applied to the first Instagram Story of a grouped Story, which caused the other Stories to disappear when filtered by the label and / or plan in analytics. All labels and plans have been backfilled to be applied to all Stories within the group.
  • Fixed a bug associated with publishing delays of 10-15 minutes on posts that went through approval flows.
  • Fixed a bug in the Calendar preventing users from assigning tasks created by them to themselves.
  • Fixed a bug in Intelligence preventing some customers from loading Topics.
  • Due to an improvement in link detection, posts containing links that were previously categorized as other formats (photo, video, etc.) were being categorized as Media Type: Link in analytics. Links have been de-prioritized so that a post is now only categorized as “link” if it contains no other media.
