Customizing the mobile experience for your site
Community mobile v2 has been designed with customization in mind.
Community mobile v2 enables you to skin the entire mobile experience (colors, text properties, icons, logos) to meet your branding guidelines and create a seamless customer experience between your mobile and desktop coomunity sites.
Basic Customization
Basic customization is free to all customers and enables you to:
- Add your logo
- 60px max height, 360px max width
- Supported file formats: SVG, PNG, JPG, GIF. SVG strongly preferred.
- Choose the colors, limited to:
- Headings
- Sub-headings
- Accepted solution "solved" icon
- Navigation background color (hex value)
- Replacement navigation and iteraction icons (for example, Kudos icon, Reply button).
- SVG format required
- Icons will be displayed in a square canvas max 16px x 16 px. Actual dimensions are set in our markup and do not need to be specified in the file.
- All icon colors must be the same i.e. if you change the kudo icon color all other icon colors will be that color.
- All SVG files should contain only the icon.
- No background color, extra borders or other type of spacing should be specified in the file.
- Remove any hidden layers in the file to keep file size at a minimum.
- Choose your language (localization support for standard text strings)

Advanced Customization
With mobile v2, you can fully customize on-contract components (currently with a Services fee), including:
- Registration and sign-in pages

As with any Lithium community, you can do off-contract customizations; however, any new pages or components you create are not guaranteed to be upgradeable in future mobile releases.

Upgrading to and deploying Mobile v2
To ensure that customers are properly migrated and have a great initial experience with the product, community mobile v2 is being rolled out on a controlled schedule. If you are interested in learning more please contact your account manager indicating your interest in upgrading to mobile v2. The account manager will work with you to answer a questionnaire to determine your specific requirements. We will review your requirements and determine whether your community is a good fit for migration at this time. After our review, Lithium will respond with either a rough schedule estimate or any follow-up questions to clarify your requirements.
Note: While community mobile v1 customers get the community mobile v2 upgrade for free, the implementation does require an SOW, and additional customizations beyond the basic out-of-box experience involve fee-based services. If you do not have community mobile today, contact your account manager.
If your community is eligible for migration, you will need to migrate to the 14.5 release or above.
